Italian death metal quartet Spiritual Deception has launched the official music video for their new single, “The Gate Unseen.” The song is the first new material heard from the band since last year’s acclaimed full-length, Semitae Mentis.
The band comments on the song, “With this track, we wanted to try something different—going for a more modern sound and letting our usual symphonic elements take a step back. Lyrically, it delves into the Great Filter theory, which is tied to the Fermi Paradox about the possibility of extraterrestrial life. We really focused on the songwriting to make it a fast, tight, and crushing song where the instruments do most of the talking.”
